David Lowen, President of the Jury (United Kingdom)
He has acted as producer and executive producer on many hundreds of successful programmes and series in a 30 year career in public service broadcasting. He was recently Director General of EuroNews, a consortium of European public service broadcasters. He has worked as adviser at board and senior management level to many international broadcasters. He is a former President of the European regional television organisation with 350 member stations in 38 states, Circom Regional, a current Board member and is President of the European Regional TV Programme Awards.
Hermann Barth (Germany)
He now regularly gives lectures on rhetoric and drama structures in film, theory and practice of documentary filmmaking, film history, mostly at German film academies and universities. Since 2002 he has been working as the creative director of DOK.FEST, the International Munich Documentary Film Festival.
Nicolas Feodoroff (France)
He graduated the National School of Photography in Arles and the University Paris 8, with a specialization in aesthetics. Nicolas Feodoroff is selector for the FIDMarseille. Art and cinema critic, he often works with the Museum of Contemporary art in Marseille and the Lyon Photography Biennale.
Bert Hogenkamp (Holland)
Between 1998 and 2008 he was professor by special appointment at the Utrecht University, holding a chair on the History of Film, Radio and Television in the Netherlands. He was active in the European Documentary Film Institute (Europäisches Dokumentarfilm Institut) in Mülheim and the Dutch Documentary and Independent Filmmakers Association DIFA. He has published extensively on the history of the documentary film.
Milan Knezevic (Serbia)
He graduated the Dramatic Arts University in Belgrade. He directed a great number of documentaries, tv shows, four artistic films and many theatre plays. He received preizes at national and international film festivals. He was for four years the Artistic Director of the Yugoslavian Documentary and Short Film Festival in Belgrade. He published four books on the subject of film and television.
Sabina Pop (Romania)
Documentary film director and producer, Sabina Pop is the author numerous productions awarded in national and international competitions as Oberhausen, FIPA-Biarritz, CIRCOM etc. She is working as artistic director in TVR, she teaches Film Directing classes at Hyperion University and she activates in several audiovisual professional organizations as EDN, UZP, EU-RO Docs etc.
